Charlotte Rebbeck - Founder and Managing Director

Charlotte was brought up on a small farm on the outskirts of Christchurch, it was here where her parents instilled her passion for the outdoors and her love of wholesome home grown food.

Charlotte attended St Margaret’s College in Christchurch and went onto to Lincoln University where she gained a degree in Resource Management with a major in Landscape Architecture.

In 1998 Charlotte headed overseas, where she worked in the Cayman Islands, United Kingdom and her father’s home country Ireland before returning to New Zealand in 2003 to start Green Monkey. Like most successful entrepreneurs, life’s experiences and lessons have shaped the values and ethos which Charlotte maintains to this day. Her love of the environment, the sustainable organics philosophy and her desire to constantly improve is what drives her when developing exciting new products for her business.

 

This has meant there is never anytime for complacency when it comes to continually developing the brand, Charlotte is fortunate to have a supportive husband Dave and enjoys the time spent away from work with her two young children Eve and Harry. Charlotte has maintained an incredibly grounded and practical approach to business and enjoys working hard with trusted business companions, her vision and approach to business is to be respected and she has admiration for the people who have be part of the Green Monkey story and all the people who have mentored her over the years. 

Andy Macbeth - Business Arkitect

Andy is a freelance business consultant having founded ‘BizArkitecture – integrated business design’ in 2006. He has been involved in the food industry throughout much of his career having previously spent 10 years at the helm of Cookie Time, he was a driving force behind their innovative One Square Meal balanced food concept.
He is passionate about life especially adventures, physical activity, wellness, good nutrition, friendships and the environment he lives in. He has been involved for over 20 years in multisport and adventure racing having won NZ Cycling and Coast to Coast titles. Andy lives life to the full; incorporating a busy work schedule and family life with his two lovely daughters and partner Jo.
He studied at Lincoln University completing a degree in Commerce followed by post-graduate majoring in Finance & Accounting.

Lynley Drummond - World-Leading Food Scientist, Innovator and Strategist

With over 30 years experience in the food and dairy industries, and academia, today a key focus of Lynley’s professional services is the development and commercialisation of formulated complex nutritional foods, including infant formula and foods for medical purpose; along with food and health research management.
Lynley has held a number of senior positions in the NZ Dairy industry associated with the development and commercialisation of nutritional products and ingredients. Prior to forming her own consulting business Lynley was the Product Development Manager for Fonterra Nutritional Solutions, a global position that oversaw the expansion of Fonterra’s infant formula business into new Asian markets.
A former lecturer in Food Technology at Massey University (NZ), Lynley is also a Professional Member of the New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology, and other professional nutrition organisations around the world. She has patents and publications in dairy, infant products and health related topics.
